Description The Belsey operation is seldom indicaited for the surgery treatement of the hiatal hernia today. The importance of this approache is the treatement of the up-side down stomach syndrom with its complications, therapy of epiphrenic diverticulum, hiatal hernia with an other patology in distal part of the esophagus or lung parenchyma and for the corection of Nissen-Rosseti failure. This methods can be used for the surgery of the distal esophageal ruptures too.
