Description In the 50 of the last century there was a significant reversal in the external treatment of dermatoses. After finding anti-inflammatory activity of hydrocortisone in the local administration seemed to be solved the problem of treatment of dermatitis and eczema. Only for psoriasis treatment effect of hydrocortisone was not evident. Patients with psoriasis have had the possibility of corticosteroid therapy for several years to wait until the modification of the molecule hydrocortisone developed a highly effective compounds. Although since antipsoriatických variety of drugs and significantly expanded from the 70 years are numerous known adverse effects of external corticosteroid therapy, topical corticosteroids are still among the most frequently applied externa in patients with psoriasis vulgaris.
