| Description | Our department is specialised in vascular surgery. In close cooperation with the angiologist and interventional radiologist we cover the complete care of patients with vascular disease. Teaching: We have both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, we have been granted the accreditation of a vascular surgical training program. Research programmes: We parcitipate in several international multicenter randomised trials, for example Gala Trial or ACST II Trial focused on carotid surgery. In cooperation with the Animal Centre we test and investigate novel types of vascular prostheses. Highly-specialised programmes at out department: Autologous superficial femoral vein in the treatment of an aortic prosthetic graft infection, robot-assisted vascular surgery, pedal bypass in the treatment of chronic critical lower limb ischemia including diabetic foot syndrome. |
