| Description | Nitrones are valuable synthetic building blocks for organic chemistry and have received a great interest in recent papers. Their syntheses, reactivity and medicinal application are widely studied therein. A novel synthetic strategy leading to a new family of 5-membered cyclic nitrones was presented. The reaction is based on the unique reactivity of 2,2-dimethylpenta-3,4-dienal oxime. |
