Professor Martin Repko has been serving in the Faculty's close management since 2018 and was elected to the position of Dean the following year as the successor of the current Rector, his namesake, Professor Bareš. However, he assumed his new role in a turbulent period when the whole world was plunged into uncertainty related to the spread of the COVID-19 disease.

In his speech, Professor Repko recalled this specificity, when this year's second edition was de facto the premiere, referring to the challenges of the past years, which we all, as the Faculty of Medicine, managed to overcome successfully. The speech thus concluded with a thank you to colleagues and students, many of whom were personally present at the ceremony on the first day of November.

According to his words, Professor Repko would like to continue to stabilize the Faculty, maintaining its status as an educational institution attracting a consistently high number of applicants for study, and an institution that, hand in hand with the care of its students - present, past and future - thoroughly fulfills its social role.

The new management of the faculty with Martin Repko at the top consists of ten Vice-Deans (four women, six men) and the Faculty Bursar.
