Graduation Fanfares
The beadle escorts the graduates to their places in the prescribed order and returns. He then accompanies the Dean (or Vice-Dean) and the Promotor, followed by the Rector (or Vice-Rector), and finally takes his designated place.

Once the anthem has concluded, the officials, together with all those present, take their seats.

Dean (Vice-dean) of the Faculty
“Your Magnificence the Rector (Vice-rector), Honorabilis the Promotor, dear graduates, dear guests:”
“I am opening the festive graduation ceremony of the graduates of regular daily studies of the discipline of General Medicine (Dentistry) at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University in Brno ...” The Dean’s speech follows.
“Allow me to introduce the graduates to you.” He reads the names of the graduates from a list.
Upon hearing their names, the graduates ascend the platform and bow first to the Rector (or Vice-Rector), and then to the audience.
The Dean concludes his speech:
“Your Magnificence the Rector (Vice-rector), the graduates who have been introduced to you have duly fulfilled the prescribed academic study requirements completed by the successful passing of the state final examination. By doing so, they have complied with all the lawful stipulations that are prescribed for the attainment of the degree of “Doctor of Medicine”, and may therefore, after taking an oath, receive the degree certificate of Doctor of Medicine. I ask you now to give your consent to the performance of the graduation act.”

Rector (Vice-rector)
“Thank you for the introduction ...”, etc. (the Rector’s speech follows) ..., and he closes his speech by saying: “I now ask you, Honorabilis the Promotor, to assume the performance of the festive act of graduation.”

The Promotor
approaches the lectern and reads the following text:
“Dear Doctorands ..., which you are supposed to receive.” (the gathering stands up)
“Spondebitis igitur ... spondebitis ac pollicebimini”. (the gathering sits down)

Taking the oath
- The beadle bearing the insignia steps forward before the Rector (or Vice-Rector) and lowers the insignia.;
- The graduates step forward before the Rector (or Vice-Rector), place their right hand on the insignia, and, by saying aloud “spondeo ac polliceor,” affirm their oath..

The Promotor continues
“Qua fide ... of the University seal.”

Presentation of diplomas
The Promotor approaches the table with the diplomas, reads out the names of the graduates together with the degree of MUDr., and presents the diplomas to them.

The gathering stands up.

Fanfare Music
The Rector (or Vice-Rector), the Dean (or Vice-Dean), and the Promotor congratulate the new doctors, bow to the audience, and are escorted from the platform by the beadles.
The graduates follow at a short distance behind them.
