Medical Faculty of Masaryk University offers a preparatory course for students who intend to enter studies of General Medicine or Dentistry. The programme provides excellent preparation for the entrance examination and the first year of our General Medicine / Dentistry degree through a well-balanced blend of modules in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.

Preparatory Courses
Medical Faculty of Masaryk University offers three E-learning preparatory courses for students who intend to study General Medicine, Dentistry in the English language and Intensive Czech Language Course for students who have already been accepted to study in the academic year. The course should provide an advantage of easier start to the introduction of the Czech language, orientation in grammar and conversational situations in everyday life.

Czech President appoints Martin Bareš MU Rector for next four years
On the proposal of the Academic Senate of Masaryk University, President Petr Pavel appointed last week the current rector, Martin Bareš, rector of Masaryk University for the next four years. Bareš’s second term of office begins on 1 September 2023 and will last until 31 August 2027.

The anniversary of the birth of Gregor Johann Mendel, abbot of Brno and founder of modern genetics, is once again being commemorating in Brno at the multi-genre Mendel Festival. The programme also includes events organized by MU.

World-famous writer and Brno native Milan Kundera has passed away
It was with sadness that we received the news that writer Milan Kundera died in his Paris flat on Tuesday, 11 July, at the age of 94. Born in Brno, he had lived in France since 1975.

MU holds another reunion for international community
Masaryk University continued with the activities of the programme for international graduates launched last year and organised another outdoor barbecue, with almost 100 participants from 21 countries attending.
