To pay tribute to this pre-eminent scientist of the 19th century, Mendel Genetics Conference will take place between 20–23 July, 2022, in Brno, the city where Mendel spent a substantial part of his life, and where he laid the foundations of genetics.

You can look forward to renowned speakers from all over the world, such as Prof. Sir Paul Nurse, Prof. Thomas R. Cech, PhD. and Prof. Ada E. Yonath, among many others. In their lectures, they will present topics ranging from the history of genetics starting with G.J. Mendel, to the genetics of humans, animals, plants, and microorganisms, to issues of ethics in genetics and the perception of genetics by societies.
