Our faculty became a part of the international organization of medical faculties and institutions in the field of Biomedicine ORPHEUS.
The quality of doctoral studies at the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University was confirmed by the several-round evaluation of the Orpheus organisation, awarding our faculty the certificate of quality.
Our faculty has thus joined such institutions as Aarhus University, Karolinska Institute, University of Oslo, University of Bergen, University of Bern, University of Basel, University of Lisboa and University of Cordoba.
For the FM MU it means that we offer a quality, world-class doctoral studies. For the applicants and students, the certificate guarantees the fact that doctoral studies at the FM MU are internationally comparable and meet the standards, which are common at foreign universities (the Orpheus group is represented by professors from the Karolinska Institute (Sweden), Aarhus University (Denmark).
The award for outstanding quality of women's scientific work in the prestigious Werner von Siemens Award competition was received by Mgr. Dáša Bohačiaková, Ph.D. She has been dedicated to working with stem cells and cerebral organoids.
Brno became a centre for surgical education! The Anatomical Institute of the Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University hosted the third international "TBL Workshop With Real Temporal Bones." Twenty European doctors immersed themselves in intensive practice, testing complex surgical procedures on real temporal bones.
