The Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University perceives the current events in the Middle East and the mood and public discussion that these events have provoked. In this context, we would like to remind you that the Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University is a traditional academic institution with a mission to provide top-tier education to future doctors and healthcare professionals. Although the faculty does not take a stance on domestic or international political issues, it always strongly condemns all forms of terrorism and any violence committed against civilians, which contradicts the principles of humanity.

We support the freedom of expression of all our students and employees and deeply respect the diversity of political opinions. However, we emphasize that these expressions must remain within the bounds of academic ethics and the law. As an institution, we are prepared to actively stand against any displays of hate and uncollegial behavior, whether within our student or professional community.

Students and staff make up one academic community, regardless of their nationality, religious beliefs, or political convictions. We guarantee all students equal status in all aspects of student life.
