On 30th October 2023, the Minister of Science, Research and Innovation, Helena Langšádlová, and the Deputy Minister of Health, Václav Pláteník, visited the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University. The main objective of the visit was to introduce the first spin-off company linked to the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University - MilkyWay be well, s.r.o. and to discuss the innovative MyWay analytix® solution, developed in cooperation with the Institute of Medical Psychology and Psychosomatics under the leadership of doc. Světlák.
The meeting with the participation of the faculty management, representatives of the Department of Medical Psychology and Psychosomatics, and the founder of MilkyWay be well, Mr. Martin Bořil, brought suggestions regarding possible cooperation at the national level within the strategy of mental health support at companies. This topic is currently critical in view of the changes in legislation in the field of occupational medical services.
The MyWay analytix® solution is designed to serve as a tool for the prevention and risk reduction of mental health problems and analysis of the mental health of individuals and organizations, and thus can contribute to better mental health care for employees across the Czech Republic through close collaboration with ministries and other key partners.
The Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University and Brno University Hospital are establishing a joint biobank of biological samples. It will help advance biomedical research and accelerate the transfer of knowledge into clinical practice.
