📢🎯 Invitation | SPARK Europe Webinar Series SPRING 2024
SPARK Europe Webinar Series | 3rd July 2024 |4-5 pm (CET) | Personalised Immunotherapy for
Treatment of Rare Diseases | Regina Demlová | hosted by SPARK Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University
The National Contact Centre - Gender and Science is organising a Brunch for budding female scientists. Guest speaker will be Mgr. Kateřina Rohlenová, Ph.D., one of the leading Czech scientists, winner of the NEURON award for young and promising scientists in the field of medicine and one of the first Czech women to receive an ERC grant.
This event is dedicated to all female PhD students and budding scientists across all disciplines. The aim is to meet inspiring individuals who are managing to develop successful careers while facing the challenges and overcoming the many pitfalls associated with being specifically female scientists. They can thus be role models for their female colleagues who are at the very beginning of their own careers.
Brunch will take place on 17.6.2024 at 10-13h in Villa Lanna, V Sadech 1, 160 00 Prague 6.
Kateřina Rohlenová is the head of the junior group at the Institute of Biotechnology of the CAS (BIOCEV). After her PhD at the same institute, where she characterized a new anticancer drug that later passed a phase I clinical trial, she moved to the VIB-KU Center for Brain & Disease Research in Leuven, Belgium, where she studied endothelial cell metabolism.
The event will be held in Czech language only.
