The principles of rights protection at MUNI and submissions aimed at rights protection are handled at MUNI by the University-wide Rights Protection Workplace.
On 1 April 2023, a university-wide rights protection workplace was established at MUNI. It ensures that rights at MUNI are protected in an efficient, impartial and effective manner and that assistance is available to protect whistleblowers and victims of interference with those rights, as well as those against whom the report is directed.
The protection of the rights of students and staff at MUNI has so far been covered by a number of mechanisms and processes in different departments. Now the university is centralizing the protection of rights into one person and workplace. The position of ombudsperson is held by Eva Janovičová.
A submission aimed at protecting rights can take the form of a notice, a complaint or a petition. According to MU Directive No. 1/2023, it can be filed mainly by employees, job applicants, students, study applicants and graduates.
