He will share with us his international experience with the Fullbright Scholarship, insights from important milestones in his career, and his recipe for combining clinical and research activities with high academic and managerial positions. Other topics for discussion can be defined by you. You can ask your questions, addressed to both panellists, in the registration form here.
At the previous breakfast on 9 April 2024, we met Zdeněk Andrysík, the new head of the research group "Molecular Mechanisms of Cancer" at the Institute of Biology, LF. He shared with us his experiences as a postdoc and early career in the United States, tips on choosing a lab, and about life in the US and grant opportunities there. A team of scientists led by the head of the research group at the Department of Biology, Nicola Silva, has made a significant achievement in research into the reduced or impaired function of the Synaptonemal complex, which may be one of the causes of sterility. The paper by an international team of authors was published in the prestigious scientific journal Nature Communications in March 2025.
