| Description | Functional neuroendocrine tumors of the pancreas are rare tumors. Insulinomas or gastrinomas are more frequent. The symptoms result from the biological activity of produced hormones. Treatment of the not advanced forms is primary surgical. Somatostatin analogues have got antisecrertory and antiproliferatory effects. |
