| Description | We present a method based on Raman spectroscopy for fast and accurate iodine value estimation: it is calculated from intensity ratios of specifically selected Raman bands. This technique promises to enable screening for optimal algae/microorganism selection for biofuel applicatons on-line within the bioreactor. Moreover, Raman spectroscopy is combined with Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) in order to obtain a complex set of data characterizing selected algae cultured in different conditions. |
