Meeting with mentors of General Medicine students in the English study programme
We held a meeting with mentors of students who are studying General Medicine in English.
On 10 April 2024, an important meeting of mentors who play a key role in providing summer practice in nursing for students of General Medicine in the English study programme at the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University took place at the premises of the University Hospital Brno, not only from the University Hospital Brno but also from the University Hospital St. Anne's in Brno and the Masaryk Institute of Oncology. This meeting was an opportunity to appreciate their work and contribution to the education of future doctors.
The Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of MU, Prof. Andrea Pokorná, PhD, expressed her gratitude to the mentors for their efforts and cooperation. Head of the Personnel Department of the Faculty of Medicine, Ing. Ivana Janáčková, provided the mentors with important information about legislative changes concerning the implementation of summer internships and new obligations of mentors within the framework of employment relations. During the meeting, there was also a discussion on methodological approaches to teaching in clinical practice, which is an important aspect in the process of training future doctors.
At the end of the meeting, the mentors were given souvenirs from the hands of Mgr. Tereza Sáňková from the Foreign Department of LF MU as a symbol of gratitude and appreciation for their work. This event took place with the kind support of the Deputy Director of the Brno University Hospital Mgr. Renáta Grossová Klementová, MBA, actively supports the cooperation between FN Brno and LF MU in the field of education of all future medical professionals. Such cooperation is crucial for preparing qualified physicians and medical staff who can provide care at a high level.
