The Faculty of Medicine of MU elects a dean

The four-year term of office of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Martin Repko, Ph.D. ends in the autumn of this year. In February, the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Medicine decided to announce the election of a candidate for the position of Dean of the Faculty. The new dean should lead the faculty in the period from 1 November 2023 to 31 October 2027.

The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Medicine of MU adopted a resolution at its regular meeting on 21 February 2023 related to the election of a candidate for the position of Dean for the period from 1 November 2023 to 31 October 2027. The Senate established a three-member election committee consisting of MUDr. Mgr. Bc. Tomáš Vojtíšek, Ph.D. (chairman), Mgr. Natália Antalová and Matyáš Fejfar. The Election Committee is responsible for preparing the election schedule and rules for submitting proposals for candidates for the position of LF MU Dean so that their names are published no later than 2 May 2023, when the deadline for submitting proposals ends at 12:00. The election of the dean will then take place at the meeting of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Arts on 23 May 2023 at 14:00 in the auditorium B22/116 at the Charles University. The Rector of Masaryk University will subsequently appoint the Dean to the office.

Only a member of the LF MU academic community may be a candidate for the office of Dean. Nominations for candidates may be submitted by members of the LF MU academic community; the candidate must agree to the nomination in writing. It is both possible and desirable to submit one's own nomination. Proposals are to be submitted in writing to the faculty office in the hands of the chair MUDr. Mgr. Bc. Tomáš Vojtíšek, Ph.D. The envelope must be sealed and clearly marked "Dean's Election - To be opened by the Chair of the Election Committee".
