IGA MU

The Internal Grant Agency of Masaryk University (IGA MU) supports the quality improvement of teaching related to research for students of accredited doctoral study programs.

It is a university-wide competition to support student grants in the areas of research and development in the following scientific fields:

  • life sciences,
  • medical and health sciences,
  • social sciences,
  • humanities and arts

Only a student enrolled at MU in a doctoral programme in the standard period of study and in full-time study may be an eligible for this student grant. However, an application for the competition may be submitted while still a master student (student grant can only be awarded after enrolment in a doctoral study program).

The application for the student grant can only be submitted electronically via ISEP system.

The application must be completed in English.

GAMU

Grant Agency of Masaryk University aims to support the university research teams, enhance the prestige of research work, to increase success rate in obtaining international prestigious grants and to encourage interdisciplinary innovative research.

The support goes to researchers on several stages of their career - both to Master or PHD students and junior or senior researchers.

Specific research

Specific university research covers the research carried out by students in pursuit of accredited doctoral or master programmes and is directly related to their education.

The Rector of MU announces a competition to support projects in the following categories:

  • support for student projects
  • support for projects aimed at organising student scientific conferences

The call is currently open, deadline 31 October 2023.

Academic staff listed in the project will not be entitled to a salary from this project in 2024.
