SCALPEL 2.0 Project in 2025: International Training for Young Surgeons in Practice

The SCALPEL 2.0 (Surgery Collaborative and Long-term Practical Experience Learning 2.0) training project, coordinated by the Anatomical Institute of the Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University under the leadership of its head, Marek Joukal, has completed its first 14 months of implementation. The year 2025 brought several specific educational activities that underscore the importance of this initiative for the development of surgical education and international cooperation.

Project Preparation Timeline (January–March 2026) and Review by the Review Board of the Faculty of Medicine

As several project proposals will be prepared in parallel between January and March 2026, we have developed a more detailed preparation timetable, including the deadlines for their submission to Review Board of the Faculty of Medicine.

New Simteched project to create a training course for medical simulation center technicians

Faculty of Medicine is involved in another international project under the Erasmus+ program – Cooperative Partnership, which aims to create the first comprehensive training course for medical simulation center technicians.
