Masaryk University is among the 500 best institutions in the world
Masaryk University moved up 200 places in the newly released Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities. With a ranking of 401-500, it is among the top five hundred universities worldwide.
In the second half of August 2022, the results of one of the most widely followed university rankings, the Academic Ranking of World Universities, were published. Masaryk University moved up two hundred places in this year's edition of the so-called Shanghai Ranking. With a ranking of 401st-500th collectively, it is now among the world's top five hundred most prestigious universities. It remains in second place in the Czech Republic, behind Charles University, which ranked 301st-400th.
The first place was again occupied by Harvard University.
Other Czech universities in the top 1,000 are Palacký University, Czech University of Agriculture, BUT, the Technical University of Ostrava and the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice.
