| Description | Introduction: With a gradual more liberal attitude of society towards the sexuality and intimacy between man and woman this area is not such a taboo as it used to be 20 years ago. The truth is that both teenagers as well as productive age people got used to fact that sex is a common element and part of their lives. The issue is that also retired people can be and actually are sexually active. Sometimes we even somehow mentally refuse, renounce the fact that having sex and being sexually active includes people living in Social Service Homes and Houses for Seniors too. Aim of study: To focus research on clients of Senior Houses and the quality of their sexual life as well as factors. Material and methodology: We have used the non-standardized questionnaire of own construction. Descriptive statistics has been used to evaluate the data. Results and outcomes: The study overviews the sexual behaviour of seniors especially the clients of Senior houses. It shows that sex is an important part of their lives, it is a common practice implemented in various forms and if it is not so, the reasons are usually concerned with seniors health or the absence of a sexual male/female partner. The study looks for causes having an impact on decreased quality of sexual life and tries to point at particular weaknesses caused by living in the social facility of this kind. |
