| Description | The quality of life rating is highly important not only in dermatology, but also in all other areas of medicine. The tool for researching the quality of life is a questionnaire. Generic (general purpose) questionnaires rate the patients overall condition, without focusing on any particular illness. They can be used for different groups of diseases, for comparisons between those, or for comparisons with the healthy population. Specific questionnaires are created with a particular target group of patients with a specific diagnosis in mind. They are used for measuring the influence of a particular disease on the patients well-being. Understanding the patients feelings is critically important for gaining his trust, ensuring his compliance and thus for the overall success of the therapy. |
