Description Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most commonly occurring primary brain tumour. Despite modern therapeutic approaches based on a radical resection, concomitant chemoradiotherapy with temozolomide and adjuvant chemotherapy, the median of overall survival is around 15 months from diagnosis. This infaust prognosis is mainly caused by GBM resistance to the indicated therapy. Therefore, it is very important to find new biomarkers, which will predict a clinical outcome of GBM patients who have undergone therapy with themozolomide. Recent studies show, that miRNAs could play an important role in chemo- and radioresistance of many tumours including GBM.
