Description LIBS was applied for rapid determination of cadmium presented in Cd-containing QDs (CdS, CdTe), which were used for labeling of MT, anti-MT and anti-Cd antibodies. Metallothionein and both antibodies were deposited on the polystyrene surface. 2D fast scanning was used for detection of QDs labeled proteins. The detection was based on the quantification of cadmium on the emission line 508.58 nm. In order to reach high sensitivity and high spatial resolution single pulse and double pulse technique was optimized and several types of raster and line scanning modes were used. Due to the application of Nd:YAG lasers UP-266 MACRO, Brilliant and detector PI Max3 repetition rate up to 10 Hz was used for fast scanning and 2D mapping of spatial distribution cadmium on the polystyrene surface.
