Description The platinum group metals (PGMs) represent the key materials for automotive exhaust gas treatment. Identification of PGMs in real time directly at the deposit sites is nowadays very complicated, especially at locations with extremly harsh climatic conditions and with no access to the local energy sources. One of the promising methods, which is nowadays under rapid research in the field of mobile chemical analysis is laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy LIBS. In order to obtain volume information about the sample, the uCT station has been employed, which in combination with LIBS brings the information about the 3-dimensional spatial distribution and amounts of selected metals in the sample volume.
