Description Are primary schools ready for curricular change which, by introducing educational framework programmes, influences significantly health education? The survey, addressed to more than 500 head teachers of comprehensive primary schools (those with junior and senior cycles of study) shows that the majority of the head teachers have not have yet any complex conception of implementation of health education in their school and the way in which the curricular plans of health education will be carried out. None of the respondents presented any complex idea about implementation of health education at school but some of them proposed interesting and innovative partial proposals. There would be desirable to extend an offer of study programmes and courses of lifelong learning to improve teachers' competences in the field of health education. It is also essential to create and supply criticized lack of textbooks and teaching materials. This ways can also contribute to higher health awareness.
