Description Symptomps of normal pressure hydrocephalus are usually walking problems, urinary symptoms and dementia. Ventriculomegaly is presented on imaging exams and intracranial pressure is at normal range. Suplemental tests (lumbar infusion test and external lumbar drainge) are used to find "shunt-responsive" patients. Authors present their own experiences with diagnosis and treatment of normal pressure hydrocefalus during last 5 years. The implantation of ventriculoperitoneal or ventriculoatrial shunts is standard treatment of normal pressure hydrocephalus.
