Description The aim of the study was to evaluate contact sensitization in patients with facial dermatitis with patch tests between 2001 and 2007. There ware 932 patients tested (of them 764 women and 168 men), mean age was 44,9 years. The frequency of sensitization was as follows: nickel sulphate 12,3 %, thimerosal 11,9 %, balzam of Peru 7,2 %, Fragrance mix I 4,7 %, cobalt chloride 4 %, propolis 3,6 %, wool alcohols 3,4 %, phenylmercuric acetate 3,1 %, neomycine sulphate 3 %, extr. Chamomillae 2,7 %, extr. Arnicae 2,4 %, formaldehyde 1,9 % and bronopol 1,8 %. Contact sensitization was detected in 455 patients (48,8 %) of all patch tested patients.
