Description The colonel Charles von Kopal (1788-1848) was known Office of Austrian army, which began his military career in 1805. He campaigned many battles and obtained numer of medails (for example: Canon Gross, Order of the Iron Crown, Order of Maria Theresia). During the battle on the rise of Monte Berico (10th June 1848) by Vincenza the colonel Kopal is wounded in his right arm by a projectile. He had to undergo complicated amputation on the right arm above the elbow, which is successfully survived. However, in spite of that, 60 years Kopal dies at night of the 16th and 17th June 1848. This article see into medical and anthopological analysis of the peripheral stump of the upper limb of the colonel Charles von Kopal.
