Description Between January 2001 and June 2002 the authors investigated at the St. Anna Clinic of Dermatovenereology in Brno 514 patients with eczema at various sites of the body. In 46 patients (8,94 %) the eczema was localised on the lower extremities. The patients have been investigated with the epicutaneous tests of the European Standard Set Trolab and also with other special patch tests (preservatives, antioxydants, emulgators, some allergens of natural origin and other allergens according to the patients history). In the patients with lower extremity eczema the investigation with epicutaneous tests should belong to the routine dermatological examination.
