| Description | This work assesses the results achieved when using photodynamic therapy with Visudyne (PDT) for predominantly classic subfoveal and completely occlult choroidal neovascular membrane (CNV) in age-related macular degeneration (AMD). PDT is a two-step treatment process involving the intravenous administration of drugs with the subsequent activation of a diode laser of wavelength 689 nm. The study included patients treated at our department in 2002-2006. |
