Description Abstract: Typical hyperintense changes in the striata and cerebral cortices on T2-weighted (T2W), fluid-attenuated inversion recovery (FLAIR), and diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) have been described in patients with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD). We report the case of a 71-year-old woman with a definite autopsy-proven diagnosis of sporadic CJD Heidenhain variant with T2W and FLAIR hyperintense lesions in parietal and occipital cortex bilaterally on MRI, regressing after steroid administration despite progression of the disease.
