Description A retained intraorbital foreign body is relatively an uncommon but serious complication of a periorbital trauma. Clinical picture, diagnostics and management of therapy depends on its character. In the following study we evaluated a group of 11 patients treated during the past 20 years. We estimated prevalence of inorganic bodies, which usually didn't provoke any inflammatory complication and were treated with surgical extraction. Three foreign bodies were of organic origin; two ones are described in detail.
