Description In October 2010 one adult male of Javan slow loris, Nycticebus javanicus (Primates, Lorisidae) died in the International Animal Rescue Centre in Ciapus (Indonesia, Java). Four specimens of the tapeworm species were discovered after necropsy in a small intestine. Two pieces of the tapeworm strobilae were fixed in 70% ethanol and later stained by iron-acetocarmine. For clarify details of a scolex and a surface morphology scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used.
