Emery Dreifuss muscular dystrophy (EDMD) is a hereditary muscle disorder presenting with clinically dominating heart disease. Heart rhythm disturbances and/or dilated cardiomyopathy account for 40% risk of sudden death in EDMD patients. Prospective 3-years epidemiological and clinical study.
