The implantation period remains a ‘black box’ of embryonic development and the major area for reproductive medicine improvement. Deciphering a complex cross-talk between the blastocyst and uterine lining will help to prevent implantation failure and achieve a viable pregnancy. The proposed project aims to describe morphological changes in endometrial cells in response to trophoblast cell invasion and establish a novel in vitro model of human embryo-endometrium interaction.
