| Description | The paper describes the process of aging of individual organ systems and its consequences for the functioning of the elderly. Changes of cardiovascular, respiratory and gastrointestinal systems are analyzed and metabolic and hormonal changes are discussed. At the end of the contribution, attention is paid to giant geriatric syndromes - dementia, vertigoes and falls, incontinency, skin integrity disturbances and frailty. |
