Description Fractures in children differ from fractures in adults. The bones are more flexible in children, grow in lenght, has good remodeling ability. Some fractures are typical in childhood, do not occur in adults (supracondylar fracture), Besides X-rays, CT, MRI, the ultrasound examination of the trauma is also possible, especially in nonossified skeleton. Fractures in children can be divided into some types: birth (delivery) trauma, toddlers fractures, epiphyseolysis, incomplete fractures, stress fractures, supracondylar fractures.
