| Description | Traumatic brain injury (TBI) in children is in many aspects very specific. Brain injury at an early age may affect the following psychomotor development. The author explains the specific types of TBI in children, as cephalhaematoma, ping- pong skull fracture, epidural and subdural hematomas, concussion, brain contusion, abused child syndrome, etc. She describes the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of TBI in children. The chapter contains a list of those abbreviations and recommended literature. |
