| Description | Hypertension has a very high prevalence in tne elderly population.The aim of this article is to summarise tne current knowledge of antihypertensive therapy in elderly patients. We evaluated the antihypertensive therapy ušed in extréme elderly patients at tne Department of Cardiology of the Brno University Hos- pital and compared our findings with current applicable guidelines. There is insufficient evidence for patients ověř 90 years and for fragile elderly patients. |
