Description The benzophenantridine alkaloid sanguinarine is known for its biological activity. The aim of this work was to characterize the binding of sanguinarine with human serum albumin (HSA), the most important transport system in blood. The binding of sanguinarine with HSA was investigated in pH 5.4-9.0 and characterized by KD values.
