Description The line of v-myb-transformed chicken monoblasts BM2 is a suitable model for study of myeloid differentiation. These cells proliferate in monoblastic stage and their terminal differentiation steps are blocked. We found that overexpression of v-fos and c-fos causes growth arrest of BM2 cells. To clarify this observation we performed cell cycle analysis. We found that c-Fos partially induces apoptosis while v-Fos rather affects cell cycle of BM2 cells.
