Description The hydrogen peroxide generation was detected in cumulus oophorus cells 2 h after insemination in human in vitro ferttilisation programme. Spermatozoa of both normal and abnormal morphology produced excessive amounts of hydrogen peroxide. Damaged cumulus cells are an additional source of this metabolite.
