| Description | Periodontal surgical therapy is one component of complete periodontal treatment. The main purposes and goals are reduction of periodontal pockets by flap procedures and creation of physiologic morphology of the marginal periodontium and the mucogingival border. For all surgical methods it is important to have appropriate equipment. Some instruments for these procedures are the same as those for other oral surgical procedures. Some of them are determined for special periodontal surgery. |
