| Description | Perimetry is method of object detection in visual field. The goal is to find scotomas, which can clear the cause of these defects. The simplest method of visual field examination is confrontation method and Amsler grid, for central vision examination. More sophisticated method of visual field examination is kinetic perimetry, e.g. Goldmann globe perimeter. The most precise current method of visual field examination is automated or static perimetry. Report of examination from this instrument can show exact shape of scotoma including its intensity. |
