| Description | In these days we find that the current antibiotics therapy fails in more and more cases, this due to bacterias getting resistant. One of the possible fields for investigation is an introduction of phage therapy[1]. Phage therapy is applied (among others) on infections caused by S. aureus. Treatment of these infections may get complicated also by formation of bacterial biofilms. In this study we focused on the deteciton of the sensitivity of S. aureus isolated from clicinal material against phage preparate where 269 (99%) proved to be sensitive. We have further on tested these strains on formation of biofilm [2]. 25 stains with highest biofilm production were exposed to phages. All strains were reported to have reduced biofilm. |
