Description Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) represents around 3% of all solid tumors with the incidence 29 cases per 100000 inhabitants in Czech Republic. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are short non-coding RNAs that post-transcriptionally regulate gene expression of more than 2/3 of all human genes including important oncogenes and tumor suppressors. Firstly, we wanted to identify tissue miRNAs with prognostic value, which would enable to choose patients with high risk of relapse after nephrectomy. Secondly, we tried to identify serum miRNAs that would enable early diagnostics of patients with RCC. The results of our study will be presented.
