Description | Coupling of liquid-phase separation techniques with MS is the main way for obtaining identity and structural information in many fields of bioanalysis including proteomics. Although dominated by mature LC/MS technology there are also other techniques playing important roles in specific bioanalytical areas. CE offers different selectivity, higher efficiency, and often also shorter analysis time compared to HPLC.
