| Description | The basic therapeutic approach for treatment of gliomas is neurosurgery. The postoperative treatment is adjusted based on precise histological verification of the diagnosis and on the other important factors. The principal conservative therapeutic modalities include radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Concurrent chemo-radiotherapy is indicated for adjuvant treatment of glioblastoma multiforme for patients in a good performance status.
